You can be elegant and playful for other seasons but few occasions offer quite the opportunities to be unique as Halloween. Most other occasions or Holidays, even if there is some latitude, still have some pretty firm guardrails. Propriety or acceptability prevent ‘going there’ but during Halloween it’s exactly those certain places that people are most delighted to see you go!

- Tying the theme into the room in general such as the light fixture
- Re-naming food with cleaver Halloween-themed names
- Lots and lots of mixed materials
